Inter religion marriage procedure in Delhi and In India, the Special Marriage Act, 1954 provides for inter-religion marriages. In Delhi, the procedure for inter-religion marriage is as follows:

Notice of Intended Marriage

The couple needs to give a notice of intended marriage to the marriage registrar of their district. The notice should be in writing and signed by both the parties. The notice should include the name, age, occupation, and address of both the parties, along with two passport size photographs.

Verification of Documents

The marriage registrar will verify the documents provided by the parties. The documents required are birth certificate, residence proof, passport size photographs, and affidavits from both parties stating that they are not related to each other within the prohibited degrees of relationship.

Publication of Notice

The marriage registrar will publish a notice of the intended marriage on the notice board of his office for 30 days. If no objections are raised during this period, the marriage can be solemnized.

Marriage Registration

After the completion of the 30-day notice period, the couple can get married at the marriage registrar's office. The marriage can be solemnized by any registered marriage officer under the Special Marriage Act.

Marriage Certificate

After the marriage is solemnized, the marriage registrar will issue a marriage certificate to the couple. This certificate will be a legal proof of their marriage.

It is important to note that the parties must fulfill the legal requirements and procedures for inter-religion marriage as per the Special Marriage Act, and any violation of these may lead to invalidation of the marriage.

Application form duly signed by both parties.

Proof of age

Birth certificate or school leaving certificate or passport.

Proof of residence

Voter ID card, Aadhar card, or any other government-issued ID with the current address.

Photos

Four passport size photographs of both the bride and the groom.

Marriage invitation card

 if available.

Affidavit 

Marriagedeclaration signed by both parties stating that they are not related to each other within the prohibited degree of relationship as per the Special Marriage Act, 1954

 NOC

A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned embassy/consulate in case one of the parties is a foreign national.

Divorce Decree

DivorceDecree/order in case of any prior marriages.

Death certificate

Deathcertificate of spouse in case of widow/widower.
